The former lecturer, Richard Akindele, who was sacked by the management of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) for demanding sex for mark have been sentenced to jail.
The former lecturer who had earlier on Monday changed his not guilty plea to guilty, was charged to two suspended years in prison.
The prosecutor for Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) , Mr. Shogunle Adenekan said all parties in the matter have reached a plea bargain and pleaded for a suspended sentence for the accused.
The judge sent Akindele to a 2-year suspended sentence, meaning the former lecturer will be on probation and avoid jail as long as he fails to commit another offence during the 2-year sentence.
